Our very first blog post - and it's about FASHION!

For 2013 my husband, Kevin McGann and I are making our joint consulting business a priority. So far it has organically grown into something larger than we ever anticipated and we love the work we do for our clients so we have decided to make Ethridge McGann more of a focus this year. After all, when you love what you do it doesn't feel like work.

For our very first Ethridge McGann blog post I want to reminisce about the amazing experience I had as one of the "blogger 19" at Brizo's Fashion Week earlier this month. I was part of an impressive group of interior design bloggers invited by the faucet company, Brizo. It was a thrill and honor to represent my client, Rinfret, Ltd. at this amazing three day experience. You can read a full recap of Brizo Fashion Week on my blog post for Rinfret, Ltd.

As part of Brizo Fashion Week, we attended Jason Wu's fashion show. I was so moved by the beauty of his collection that I actually teared up as the models glided down the runway. Weeks after the show I am still inspired by his collection and have even gone so far as to sketch the dresses from the show.

Here are some quick sketches I made on my ipad as inspired by these gorgeous looks (photos by Jayme Thornton).

I cringe to think how my sketches would compare to the brilliant Jason Wu's but I guess I just never let go of my childhood dream of being a fashion designer!
